  early mornings, preparing canvases frantically in an effort to drown out any emotions i felt on my way to the studio. waiting to work on something to show for how i’ve felt. but this means nothing.

  had the idea for this piece for a long time, this is some of the preperation work i’ve been doing over the past week or so. in the midst of stretching the canvases i’ll be using for the final outcome, which should be ready in time for february (probably later). based on two friends from leeds and their house.

  as i brush my teeth
  i look out of the
  window and see the
  snow thawing on the
  driveway
  
  if this is living
  then i guess that life
  is a series of
  meltdowns
  
  last winter i
  noticed i haven’t been
  myself lately.
  a year on and i
  feel as though i’ll never
  quite be myself
  
  my are teeth brushed but
  they’ll never be clean.
  the years that have been
  taken from me will
  never be reclaimed but
  i suppose life can
  be like that sometimes
  more than others
  
  next winter i hope the
  snow melts a great
  deal quicker
